  • Mentored over 100 FBISD students in the last 10 years

  • Over 20 years I worked with over 18 organizations & institutions like HCC (Houston Community College), The Community GateKeepers, National Art Honor Society, 4-H Veterinary Science, P.E.A.C.E

  • Taught English, Spanish, Financial Literacy, & Technology 12.5 years with FBISD, until recently resigning to commit herself to the community

She is the proud wife of Larry and the mother of seven (7) daughters. Monica has raised and is raising all of her seven (7) children in Missouri City. One graduated from Marshall HS and received her bachelor’s degree from University of Houston-Clear Lake.  Another was fortunate to receive her degree from a prominent HBCU, Tuskegee University. Monica currently has 2 other daughters actively pursuing their college degrees.  Overall, her children have achieved academic excellence. 



Monica Riley is known as “Mountain Movn Monica” for her zealous efforts to champion against the odds. She has the tenacity, integrity and unwavering ability to bring about change and accomplish viable business growth along Texas Parkway and South Gessner. She listens to the concerns of homeowners of District A and the community. As a true servant leader, she will take the necessary action. Monica has always been a dependable voice in the community. On the front lines, she has advocated for our city and District for 2 decades. She brings an unique understanding and perspective on how the city operates from the inside-out.
